REAL Soccer!!!

Dan took the boys to their first REAL Soccer game. They were both looking forward to it, then the day of the game, Zane decided he didn't want to go! I was like, Sorry buddy! We bought tickets...you're going! But really his ticket was free from the SS City Soccer League. But don't tell him. He couldn't give us a good reason why he suddenly didn't want to go. But I made him anyway. Dan took them to In and Out Burger for dinner, then he decided he was excited to go to the game. WHATEVER kid! They had a really fun time, but I think the boys mostly liked the treats they got while they watched the game!

School's out for SUMMER!!!!

I LOVE this time of year... when kids are in their last few days of school and having field days, and graduations, and everyone is so excited for summer! Gavin graduated from his first year of Preschool with Miss Nicole on May 21st. He is doing very well. He writes his name rather good and knows his Pledge of Allegence.

Zane graduated from Kindergarten on May 28th. He LOVED having Miss Gurney and never complained about going to school. He has picked up reading very quickly and is doing well in Math.

Lindsay graduated from 1st grade on May 28th as well. She adores Mrs. Richins! Her reading has improved so much and we've discovered she is very good at spelling. She also is very good at Math.

These are most of her 100% spelling tests from the year, but not all. She got 100% on most of the Pre-tests, then she didn't have to take the Spelling Test the next day...she got to play.

Granny Annie was able to come to their Graduations/End of School Programs.

Zane in Soccer

Zane has come a long way in Soccer this year. He's a little more aggresive and he actually got near the ball and kicked it a few times! We're so proud of him. He really enjoys it but is looking forward to T-ball this summer.

We found a way to keep our kids quiet in the car.....

RING POPS!!!!!

Happy 32nd Birthday to me!

It's still really weird for me to think that I'm in my 30's. I still feel like a 21 year old and act like it too (no offense to 21 year olds....that was a fun age!). I celebrated my birthday with my family on Mother's Day and got some treats and money!

We didn't have candles, so we used what we could find.

Cute kids, giving me a birthday love.

My cute hubby gave me these roses.

Celebrating with Dan's family. I got some treats and piano music.

The Friday before my birthday, we went to Applebee's for dinner with some of our friends

Sam, Laurel and Beans

Hayley and Justin

Craig and Kim

Christian, Karen, Heidi and Jeff met up with us after dinner at the movie theater and we all went and saw IRON MAN 2. I really liked. it! Thanks everyone for sharing my birthday extravaganza with me!

Mother's Day

The reason I get spoiled on Mother's Day! I love them!!

Our crazy picture

Mom/Granny Annie.

We got my mom this cool embossing machine and then we traced all the grandkids hands and made these dang adorable lilies out of them! I love it !

Hahahahaha! We were laughing so hard when we were taking this picture! There were about 4 kids screaming while we tried to take it. We missed Matt, Lauren, Ben, Jenny, Carter, Mollie and Noah.

I LOVE the little things kids make for Mother's Day. It always makes me cry. Gavin made me the blue flower pot with a seed planted in it. When I went to pick him up from Preschool last week, he came running out with the pot and yelled "Happy Thanksgiving!!!" He always makes me laugh! Zane made me the little colorful flower pot with paper flowers in it. He had written on each flower nice things he was going to do for me. So cute! Lindsay gave me a poem about fingerprints and her little fingerprints were all around the poem. It was so sweet. Then Lindsay wrote a little card that was from Brooklyn. My cute hubby got me roses the night before, along with some Werther's Carmels, a card and a folding table and chairs (that is also part of my birthday present). My cute mom gave me the movie "Sleepless in Seattle" and some Dove chocolates. I went to Kohl's the night before and bought me some clothes. It was such a nice Mother's Day.

Visiting with my Grandma

Dan's parents went to Chicago to visit Dan's sister, so we celebrated Mother's Day after they got back.

Dinosaur Museum

A few weeks ago, Gavin's preschool went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point for a fieldtrip . We've been several times and it never gets old. It's such a cool place! They had a lot of fun!

Zane would not stand by this shark and I don't blame him. It's freakin' scary! Here's Gavin with some Preschool friends who were not afraid of the shark.

Amy and Sam are engaged!!

This actually happened a a few weeks ago, I'm just a little slow at posting these days.
YES! We have another wedding. This will make 6 weddings in 2 years between Dan's and my family (3 sister's for me, 3 brother's for Dan). The big date is August 13th and we're so excited for them. Sam fits right in. We have all been so blessed to find men that fit in and put up with our hagginess. AND we are so blessed to have a cute sister-in-law who married my only brother, that fits right in and puts up with all of us too! Congratulations Amy and Sam!

So.........I tried and it was too rough!

So March was a crazy month for us because I started training for my job with JetBlue. I went Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm to Midnight. I hired some cute young women in my ward to help babysit the kids each day from about 3:00 until Dan got home from work. Then my amazing husband would make dinner, clean up (even loaded the dishwasher each night), help Lindsay and Zane with their homework, give the kids their baths on Bath night and get them to bed. I seriously grew to love this man more and more after watching him sacrifice so much for our family during that time. We only saw each other for about 20 minutes on our 10th Anniversary. But went to dinner and a movie a couple weeks later. We're still hoping to do something a little cooler than that in a couple months to really celebrate!

The training was good. I loved it! I met so many awesome people in my class and became really good friends with Robyn Reynolds who lives in my ward and just happened to get hired and had training at the same time as me. We loved car pooling together. I passed my tests with 100% on all but one and was so excited to do this Reservations job!

Back in February, JetBlue changed their computer system and their website. Things have been crazy for the company because the crewmembers are trying to figure out what their doing on the "new" system (the system is actually really old...it's what other airlines have been using for years). And the customers are having major problems with the new website and the hold times on the phones are crazy! So a lot of the customers are very grumpy and frusterated once they get on the phones with us.

If you combine those issues with being a new crew member trying to learn the ins and outs of the airline industry, along with poor communication with Supervisors and a strict attendance policy, it makes for a miserable first month on the phones. I actually lost weight when they put us on the phones at the end of March. I was so stressed and felt like I was going to throw up right before my shift started everday. Dan said it was like I was zoned out for a few weeks. I dreamt about JetBlue, I thought about JetBlue 24-7 and was on edge all the time. The extra money was great and the shift I got wasn't too bad either (Sat, Sun, Mon and Wed from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm), but I decided it wasn't worth it. I've never had a job where I had so much stress and anxiety. Believe me, when I worked for the title company for 13 years, there was plenty of stress, but I had a boss that backed me up 100% and I could go to him with anything. I just didn't feel that way with JetBlue. Don't get me wrong...I think they are a great company. I just came into the business at a really rough time for them and I'm sure (I'm hoping) it will get better, I just wasn't willing to wait around for it to get better. Also, Dan got a raise that was NOT expected at all that helped make my decision a lot easier. So I am really sad about quitting and getting that far into things but I am SO RELIEVED! I have enjoyed being just a mom and wife the past few weeks and maybe this is what I needed to help remind me of what I really need to focus on right now.

Oh and P.S., when I emailed my supervisor to tell her I was quitting, I never heard back from her. Classic!
